The Day Jimmy's Boa ate the Wash

The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate The Wash

The kid's of the 12th Street School went on a wacky field trip to the farm where Jimmy's pet boa made all kinds of trouble. We made our own pet snakes by tapering the ends of toilet paper rolls and attaching them to each other with pipe cleaners.

We dabbed pieces of bubble wrap into paint and applied it to the boas making a snakelike texture.

"It's The Bear" lunch
We love "It's The Bear", a story about a picnic in the woods that goes all wrong when a giant bear appears on the scene. We had our own "It's the Bear" picnic with all the items it mentions in the story.

"There's lettuce, tomatoes...

...and cream cheese spread, hard boiled eggs and crusty brown bread.
There's orange juice, cookies some chips and oh my, I've forgotten to
pack the blueberry pie. I'll run back and get it", said mom, "won't be long."
"But mom", shouted Eddie, too late, she'd gone.
(Irresponsible parenting!)
