Charlie and the Chocolate Party - Part 2
Veruca Salt's Nut Drop
In honor of a very spoiled Veruca Salt we played "I have a little squirrel and he won't bite you." But sometimes that little scoundrel just couldn't help it and he'd reach over and give someone a nip!
The only redeeming fact about this vicious squirrel attack is that he had a
Nutter Butter Cookie in his hand that he dropped for his bite victim!
Mike Tee Vee Relay
In the movie Mr. Wonka experimented with transferring a chocolate bar through space and into a television. We accomplished this task in an easier and tastier fashion!
First the runner had to don Mr. Wonka's very fashionable glasses, then they
had to scoop up a pile of mini chocolate bars with a wooden spoon.
The candy had to stay on the spoon, any that fell off went back in the bowl.
The chocolate was then transferred to the TV...
...then they ran back and got some more!
After one minute the runner was able to empty out the TV and keep anything they had transferred.
Augustus Goop Shirt Stuffing
Augustus Goop was a rather stout, rather greedy little boy. For this game two teams tried to stuff as many balloons as they could in a team mates shirt to "Goop"-ify him!
Violet Beauregarde's Blueberry Squeeze
We all squeezed the blueberries "like a little pimple" and made some very tasty blueberry juice!
A runner from each team soaked a "blueberry" ( a foam ball from Walmart)
in a bucket of Blueberry Juice (water with blue food coloring) and raced to the Juice Jug.
They squeezed that little berry over a funnel...
...then raced back for more juice.
The first team to reach the Fill Line with juice was the winner.
Pie Diving
Because a person can never have too much candy, we next tried our hand (or should I say face?) at pie diving. Each diver put there hands behind their back and plowed head first into a plate of whipped cream looking for a Hershey's Kiss. The first one to eat the kiss was the winner.
WINNER!
Edible Crafts
We made edible necklaces by stringing Fruit Loops, Peach Rings and Life Savers on yarn.
We did a little finger painting with edible finger
paints made from vanilla pudding dyed with food coloring.
If you think finger painting is fun, try it with pudding. If you make a mistake, just lick it off!
Then we ate a VERY healthy dinner, took a swig of Pepto Bismol
and settled down to watch "Bug's Life" in preparation for tomorrow.
